The GRAME, a non-profit organization founded in 1989, established the Ensemble, on verdit!, a greening campaign in which the well-being of trees is our priority. We are proud to contribute to the improvement of public health and the environment. The benefits of trees are exponential. Thus, the GRAME is committed to increasing tree cover in urban areas.
The GRAME is an important player in Quebec in the developement of innovative and realistic solutions to environmental issues. Strongly rooted in its community, the GRAME, is recognized for its expertise in transportation, energy, ecofiscality, waste management, greening and urban developement. The GRAME focuses its work and activities in four complementary areas of action: influencing decision makers, environmental awareness and education, and direct intervention on the ground. These fields and interventions give depth and meaning to the GRAME’s work by contributing to a global vision of environnemental awareness.
As a member of the Alliance forêt urbaine, our mission is to realise tree plantings in order to achieve the objective of the Canopy Action Plan. The objective of this initiative is to increase Greater Montreal’s urban forest enabling communities to benefit from increase tree cover.
